National minimum wage increase from 1 July 2011

 

The National Minimum Wage rate in Ireland increases to €8.65 per hour for an experienced adult employee with effect from 1 July 2011 as confirmed by the National Employment Rights Authority (NERA).

 

The rate was previously reduced to €7.65 per hour on 1 February 2011 but now reverts back to the previous rate.

 

It should also be noted that various sub-minimum rates apply in certain circumstances.
