National Living Wage in the UK

With effect from 1 April 2017, the National Living Wage and the National Minimum Wage applied at the following rates in the UK:

National Living Wage (NLW)
25 and over                         £7.50

National Minimum Wage (NMW)
21 to 24                             £7.05
18 to 20                             £5.60
Under 18                            £4.05
Apprentice                         £3.50 *
*Note: under 19 or in first year of apprenticeship

UK employers are now advised to review the eligibility of their employees to ensure compliance with this increase.
